How did you enter the team?

Seba asked Naomi Grigg to introduce a couple of freestyle riders to the UK distributor and we met up to check out the skate. We had already seen Seba and the Korean skaters doing some fantastic stuff in them and so I was keen to get on board.

What do you think about future of slalom skating?

It looks good especially with the introduction of battle slalom competitions. I think it will make riders push themselves more instead of just practicing the same routine for every competition, they will have to be a bit more creative with what they do in competitions.

What do you think about the skates?

It’s a difficult question to answer, having never skated on them! (we expect them in the UK in January) but the UK distributor brought me a sample to try and I like the look of the stiff frame and the support it offers to the foot.

Your projects?
Naomi Grigg and some other UK slalom skaters are promoting freestyle skating in London (particularly schools), and both myself and Nathan are on the demo team.
